Dr. R. Valavan is a homoeopathic physician, graduated (2000) and post graduated (2005) in homoeopathy from Vinayaka Mission Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem. He is one of the first Post Graduates in the discipline of Homoeopathic Pharmacy from all over India. He has professional experience of 13 years, and research and industrial experience of 8 years.

Dr. Valavan has published about 100 papers and articles in reputed journals and magazines on research, therapeutics, homoeopathic pharmacy, industry, etc. and has been delivering lectures at International Conferences. He actively involves himself to the professional and social fronts. Presently he holds the position of Secretary, Noida Homoeopathic Medical Association (NHMA) and working as Manager - Scientific Affairs with Schwabe India. He is the Editor of Homoeo News, Monthly homoeopathic newsletter of NHMA, Editor of Schwabe News, Monthly homoeopathic e-newsletter of Schwabe India, Editorial Board Member of Health Sciences, peer reviewed journal from Kerala University of Health Sciences, Govt. of Kerala. Dr. Valavan co-authored 2 books namely Homoeopathic Materia Medica of New Drugs, and A Compendium of Rare and Clinically Established Mother Tinctures.
